At Fleming College We use eBase as our CMMS, Assets like computers, monitors, laptops, phones, chairs, desks, etc get loaded into it using identifying info like serial number, pictures, models etc. These assets can then be assigned to a user in the system and comments added (as well as supporting documents, costs, etc) So we can at a glance run a report on what’s outstanding and who is in possession of it.
I haven’t yet but I could use microsoft forms and power automate to streamline the request and approval process with additional tracking on a sharepoint site. It would Just allow use to have a live dashboard of approvals and requests at our finger tips, as opposed to just straight work orders and emails.
